Susan Keil

Compliance Engineer

Susan has 35+ years of experience working in various engineering and management roles for global corporations that develop, manufacture and support products for the consumer appliance and underground mining industries. Specifically, she has had diverse responsibilities in the areas of Product Design Engineering, Supply Base Management, Regulatory & Safety Compliance Engineering and Technical Project Management, with a primary focus on electronic control systems.

Before joining HomeValet, her career included almost 30 years at Whirlpool Corporation, where she worked to design, and lead the development of, robust control systems for freezers, refrigerators and free-standing icemaker products, assuring their compliance with North American and International requirements. After leaving Whirlpool in 2014, she joined Matrix Design Group to lead various projects related to the control architecture and associated support infrastructure for a safety communication and tracking system implemented on underground mining equipment around the world.

Susan received her BSEE from the University of Evansville. She and her husband, John, live in Newburgh, IN, and have six children and eight grandchildren. Susan enjoys spending time with family, road cycling, fitness, traveling, reading, mentoring, and supporting a variety of community volunteer activities.
